Once your kids are able to read most, if not all, of the Fry sight words for their grade level, the next step would be for them to put those words together.
The words on the list make up almost half of the words met in any reading task.
The Dolch words are commonly divided into groups by grade level, ranging from pre-kindergarten to third grade, with a separate list of nouns. In addition to the words listed below, second grade students are responsible for words from Kindergarten and First Grade.
